چکیده

Abstract High nitrogen steel (HNS) have been widely used in many industrial fields place of stainless steels. As we know, the welding is main fabricating method HNS structural components. In this article, recent investigations joining methods HNS, such as tungsten inert gas welding, melt inert-gas laser laser-arc hybrid friction stir (FSW), and brazing are summarized. First, effect content shielding gas, wire, base metal on evolution microstructure, mechanical properties, corrosion susceptibility fusion welded joints discussed systemically. Then existing problem during FSW process analyzed. Additionally, key issues future trends proposed. The purpose review to provide a technical reference theoretical basis for research technological development HNS.

Spot weldability of TRIP assisted steels with high carbon and aluminium contents

We examine here the spot welding characteristics of transformation induced plasticity assisted steels, which contain d-ferrite as a consequence of their aluminium concentrations of 3?5 or 5?6 wt-% and which also have high carbon contents of 0?3 or 0?4 wt-% when compared with conventional automotive steels. The resistance spot welds are tested in both shear and crosstensile tests in order to det...

Weldability and Monitoring of Resistance Spot Welding of Q&P and TRIP Steels

This work aims at investigating the spot weldability of a new advanced Quenching and Partitioning (Q&P) steel and a Transformation Induced Plasticity (TRIP) steel for automotive applications by evaluating the effects of the main welding parameters on the mechanical performance of their dissimilar spot welds. The welding current, the electrode tip voltage and the electrical resistance of sheet s...

Weldability Comparison of Tritium-charged-and-aged 304 and 316ln Stainless Steels

Measurement of the effects of helium (from tritium decay) on the weldability of Types 304 and ITER Grade 316LN stainless steel demonstrated the inherent complexities in designing and conducting an experimental program using tritium-charged-and-aged materials to simulate the effects of irradiation-induced helium on weld behavior. Differences in microstructure, surface condition and alloy chemist...

High-Strength Bainitic Steels

With careful design, mixed microstructures consisting of fine plates of upper bainitic ferrite separated by thin films of stable retained austenite have exhibited impressive combinations of strength and toughness in highsilicon bainitic steels. The silicon suppresses the precipitation of brittle cementite leading to an improvement in toughness. The essential principles governing the optimisatio...

High Temperature Behavior of Dual Phase Steels

Dual phase steels with different martensite volume fraction and morphology were tensile tested at a temperature range of 25 to 5500C. Stress-strain curves of all steels showed serration flow at temperatures of 250 and 3500C, and smooth flow at the other temperatures. Both yield and ultimate tensile strengths increased with increasing testing temperature up to about 450<sup...
